This is my personal music and entertainment journal. It includes huge library of albums, cassettes and 8-track tapes - remember those? The singles, EPs and 78s are mostly in the Jukebox section. The Video section is a collection of my personal favourites and it continues to grow. If you have difficulty finding your way around, drop me a line from the Contact page or catch me online with Chat and I'll try to help. Meanwhile, here are a few of my favourites featured - just click the images to listen - but you can choose from hundreds more in the Music collection. Have fun and enjoy the music - members should sign-in before proceeding.
The Greatest Hits
This has most, but not all The Shadows' greatest hits plus a bonus track (Foot Tapper) that isn't on the original vinyl album. Still one of my favourites after 50 plus years and still selling albums...
Some of the finest pieces by this French composer including many favourites, magnificently played by Jean-Pierre Armengaud. This collection is amongst my best favourite albums.
My taste for close harmony started when I was a child and especially the unique style and harmony of these three ladies. If you like close harmony you'll find nothing to beat this collection of some of their best.
This album's reputation and sense of ambition ushered in the album era. Its influence was pervasive and instructional regarding the way music is crafted and sold to the public.
18 Greatest Hits
These 18 tracks offer a very decent look at some of the major phases of George Jones long career. Bringing Jones massive catalog down to 18 greatest cuts is impossible, but this album shows why he is a legend.
Whether or not you saw the film or not you must be familiar with some of the music and after several decades it remains popular and fresh. Such is the quality of Rodgers & Hammerstein music and there is none finer.
One of those albums that you might buy for just a couple of tracks as was the case here.'Chasing Pavements' and 'Make You Feel My Love' are my favourites.
The Very Best
This band of musicians has contributed a great deal to popular music over the years under various different names. This collection represents just a few of their better works.
This album won Best British Album at the 1996 Brit Awards, and won the Brit Award for the best British Album of the last 30 Years at the 2010 Brit Awards, which Liam Gallagher accepted on the group's behalf, before throwing it into the audience.
